Post a Position
Departments are responsible for recruiting, interviewing and making final decisions on candidates for any of the roles they have posted.
The University of Texas at Dallas is an equal opportunity employer, so positions MUST be advertised within the designated online job portal, Handshake, in accordance with EEO guidelines. To aid in making sure our students have enough information to make informed decisions about the positions they choose, all jobs should be accompanied with a job description that outlines at least the following:
- Associated Duties
- Qualifications
- Hourly Commitment (approx. hours per week)
- Pay rate (pay per hour)
Use the button below to navigate directly to Handshake and submit your position. If you need assistance we have provided some helpful guides further down this page.
Positions will not be visible to students until reviewed and approved by the Student Employment Office (SEO). All positions that are posted correctly under the “On Campus Student Employment” job type in Handshake are reviewed and approved within 1 business day. Please ensure the representative posting the job on your department’s behalf chooses “On Campus Student Employment” when attempting to post an hourly student position.
**Failure to select the proper job type will prevent the job from appearing in the proper queue for Student Employment’s review and approval.
Please note: Texas law prohibits institutions of higher education from hiring or assigning employees to perform DEI duties. Although student activities are not subject to TEC §51.3525, employees, including those in positions that support student activities, must comply with TEC §51.3525 and may not engage in prohibited DEI activities.
