RAISE

RAISE (Reflection and Advancement in Integrated Student Employment) is a program at UTD that fosters meaningful connections between students’ academic learning, student employment experience, and professional development. Through brief, structured conversations, student employees and supervisors collaborate to highlight transferable skills that enhance both classroom and workplace success.

STELLAR

STELLAR (Student Training for Excellence in Leadership, Learning, and Results) is a career readiness and leadership development program for student employees. STELLAR provides supervisors the opportunity to improve job performance and satisfaction in student employees and elevate the competitiveness of on-campus jobs. Ready to get started?

  • Self-paced, structured career readiness modules and career development events

  • Customizable by supervisor preference—select up to 24 hours of professional development content

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning, is now available to all current UT Dallas faculty, staff and students. This service is a leading online learning platform that helps anyone learn business, software, technology, and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals. With over 12,000 courses and an average of 60 courses added per month, there is something for everyone. Learn more on the Eugene McDermott Library website.


Performance Conversations

Performance conversations are essential for supervisors to share meaningful feedback with student employees to support their professional development. These discussions offer a chance to recognize student employees’ contributions, address areas for growth, and connect their job experiences to future career goals. Supervisors should lead performance conversations with their student employees at the end of each semester or each academic year to ensure students receive the guidance and support they need to succeed.

Compliance Training

The Student Employment Office works with Institutional Compliance to ensure all student employees complete their Compliance Training as required for all university employees.

Students are invited to complete this training by the Office of Institutional Compliance directly and departments are welcome to request additional trainings for their students as deemed necessary or desired for their particular role.
